The 18-hole “Hickory Ridge” course at the Hickory Ridge Public Golf Center facility features 6,863 yards of golf from
the longest tees. Designed by William J. Spear, ASGCA, the Hickory Ridge golf course opened in 1993 and is managed by
golf professional Michael Day. It’s the home of SIU Women’s Golf and the annual Saluki Invitational held each March.
Opened in 2010, the Diane Daugherty Golf Facility was created in an effort between SIU Women’s Golf and the
Carbondale Park District. The indoor, heated facility allows the team to practice year-round, protecting them
from unfavorable weather conditions. It features three bays that serve as a driving range and a putting green.
